And, if you already know some German, you'll master more advanced aspects of the language and be able to communicate confidently wherever you go in Germany.

Take our placement testHow long it takes you to learn German depends on your available time and commitment. As with any skill, the more you practice, the faster you’ll progress. It also depends on which Lingoda German course you subscribe to. Some, such as the Lingoda Language Sprint, are more intensive than others. Speed up your progress as well by always doing follow-up exercises and revision quizzes.
Lingoda teachers make a full-time commitment to delivering lessons and developing your German skills. Our teachers are just as important as the curriculum and the learning resources. They are all qualified, experienced, and native-level speakers.
To start learning with Lingoda, decide which of our German courses in Hanover you want to take. Once your subscription is active, you can take as many or as few classes as you wish and study at any time of the day and night, seven days a week. If you work a night shift or are a morning person, study early in the day or choose evening classes that you can do after work. Our Zoom classes led by experienced native-level teachers are always available. You can filter your search for these by CEFR level, date, or time, and then book a class or classes up to seven days in advance. As soon as a teacher accepts your booking, simply confirm your place in the class. You’ll get to know other students in small group classes or, if you prefer, book more personalized one-to-one lessons.
As with any new skill, learning German takes time, practice, and commitment. The more you practice and find opportunities to speak German, the faster your skills will develop. Take as many Lingoda online classes as you can fit into your daily life or commit to the intensive two-month-long Lingoda Language Sprint™. During your classes, make the most of chatting with your teacher and classmates and act on the personalized feedback you’ll be given. After a class, remember to complete any available lesson materials. These help reinforce what you have been taught.
Whether you sign up for one lesson a week or take the intensive Lingoda Language Sprint, your total commitment is the best way of maximizing your language learning. Before you start, set some time-bonded language goals to help focus your mind and help you to commit. Find a place to study without distractions and take advantage of the resources available with each Lingoda lesson. Think up tricks and games to help you learn such as memory hooks, mind maps, and flashcards. Watch TV and movies in German (without subtitles!) and listen to local radio. And, most effective of all, chat in German with the new friends and colleagues you’ve met.
