B2 German Course: General Topics and the Lingoda Method

In the German B2 course you will cover topics such as: cultural differences in interpersonal relationships and the working world, German history and politics etc. In addition, you will study grammar topics such as “causal and consecutive clauses: weil, denn, deshalb, so…dass”, use of the conditional and the Konjunktiv I.

To ensure a proper, step-by-step mix of all these topics, the Lingoda Method is ideal: We offer comprehensive online classes that focus on more than just grammar and vocabulary. We want you to feel confident using your skills in real-life settings. In classes of up to five, you’ll practice talking to improve your pronunciation and fluency. Customized feedback from our native-level teachers helps you learn from your mistakes, as well as listening to the mistakes of others.

Another specialist feature of our program is the rotation of our teachers. You’ll be training your ear to listen to different accents, intonation and more, so that when you start practicing in the real world, you’ll be ready for different voices.

More than anything, we focus on flexibility. We know that life is busy, and sitting down at the same time each week might not work for you – so you are totally in control of your schedule. You can book classes based on your availability, with access to lessons whenever suits you.

Choose the right Frequency in your B2 German Course

Frequently asked questions

Our courses are broken down and categorized using the CEFR. CEFR stands for the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This is an internationally recognized standard that helps classify levels of fluency. It starts at A1, considered the beginner level and moves through to C1 for advanced or native-level speakers. A B1 level German speaker is considered an Upper-Intermediate language speaker.

When you take a Lingoda course, we incorporate every aspect of language learning into the lesson plan. You’ll practice speaking, reading, listening and writing. As part of the Lindoga Method we also tackle real-life scenarios. This is so you can start putting what you’ve learned to good use immediately. It’s all well and good knowing the language if you don’t have a chance to speak it. With our lessons, we want you to feel confident asking questions and putting your new skills to good use between sessions.

If you’re looking at a German B2 online course you’re already quite advanced. At Lindoga we offer learning plans that cater to every level, from beginner to advanced. Because we structure our lessons according to CEFR you can be sure we’ve got a course that challenges you, but doesn’t overwhelm you.

Once you register as a Lingoda student you can take our CEFR test to see which course is right for you. And don’t worry, if you’ve signed up for a Sprint or Super Sprint course, you can change the level if you find it’s too easy or too challenging and this won’t affect your cashback eligibility.

At Lingoda, we want to make language learning accessible to everyone, so we have courses that suit every level, moving from A1 beginners right through to C2, which is considered native-level or fluent.

You can move through each stage of the course with us, completing lessons and booking them to fit your schedule. It’s totally remote and easy to get started. So whether you’re starting from scratch with an A1 course, or a B2 committed learner, we’ll help you take the next step towards fluency.

This is entirely up to you. Because Lingoda is completely flexible, with lessons available for you morning, noon and night, you’re completely in charge of setting your own pace. You decide how many classes you want to take a week, and that can change depending on your commitments.

All courses at Lingoda have 50 lessons to complete. You can choose whether you take one class a week over twelve months. Or commitment to an intensive program like our Sprint or Super Sprint. When you join a Sprint you commit to learning a certain number of classes over three months. If you succeed and attend every class, you can get up to 100% cashback, meaning you’ve not just learned a language, you’ve got a lump sum to say well done!

Yes you will! As you progress through each CEFR level you’ll receive a certificate to track your progress. CEFR is an internationally recognized standard, so employers and educational establishments will acknowledge the achievement. You can even add your certificates to LinkedIn or mention them on your CV.

If you still aren’t sure, why not take advantage of our seven day free trial? You can access three group classes, or one private depending on your need. We’re confident that as soon as you try the Lingoda Method and complete your first remote class with our friendly teachers, you won’t look back!
