• I've taken 9 Italian classes so far

I've taken 9 A1.1 Italian classes so far. About half the time I was the only one with the teacher, but I actually prefer having 2-3 class mates as it makes it more fun. Love the flexibility to schedule classes when they fit me. So far, I've had 9 different teachers and I've rated all of them with 4 or 5 stars. At first, I was apprehensive about it and even tried to schedule specific times to increase the likelihood of it being picked up by specific teacher but now I think it's a cool feature and I'm looking forward to whom I'm going to meet. You get a short feedback from the teacher and vice versa after every class. For me the lessons are quite relevant and not boring, perhaps somewhat slower-paced than in a traditional language learning school. There is lot of interaction in the class, done almost exclusively in the target language, and the encouragement to speak and make mistakes. I like it.

  • Learning German Was Not The Plan

I am moving to Switzerland and I have to complete an exam in A1 German at 58 years old!!! So stressful but I have now completed a few classes and I am more encouraged. The teachers have all been so kind and fun. They are very well educated in how to present each lesson to the class so you get the most out of each topic. The written material is excellent and the interactive components ensure you retain the information. As long as you put in the work to prepare and review, Lingoda has built a system for success. I would highly recommend.

  • Possible improvements

I really like that Lingoda lets me view the class material before the lesson and prepare for it, it helps me feel calmer and focus on the class. What I'm missing are two important elements. - an option to "blacklist" tutors that we don't work well with (there are some tutors that seem to be very detached during the class and they're not paying attention, and I would like to blacklist them for me to avoid them in the future) - having your pronounce shows next to your name (like Jon (he/him)) would be great

  • Learning flexibility

I´ve been learning German with Lingoda for several years (from B1 to C1). I really like the flexibility that you offer. I also like the diversity - not being with the same group and the same teacher all the time. I recommend you to all my friends. I'm very soon done with C1, and unfortunately, there are no more classes to continue.

  • Review Lingoda

This platform is very helpful and provides everything I need. Since I work and have a busy schedule, being able to adjust my class times is a huge advantage for me. The lessons are also very well structured. So far, I haven’t found any downsides.

  • Great group lessons

I've taken 8 group lessons so far and really like them. I am a former Babbel Live student and was looking for a similar replacement. Lingoda is better - more interesting content and the website has lots of extras. I also found some of my old Babbel teachers here which I was especially happy about. There are lots of options for my time zone too. I am very happy to have found Lingoda.

  • Fantastic system for learning

You can still access all of the materials and study material/games for lessons you haven’t bought so you can make sure you take the right class. Teachers have been great so far.

  • Affordable small online classes and tutoring

Lingoda classes run daily at a range of times, taught by teachers from around the world. Each 60-minute class is well structured, with materials shared in advance so you can prepare. Compared to in-person learning, Lingoda’s prices are especially attractive.

  • Excellent instructors and compelling teaching materials

What makes Lingoda stand out is: challenging yet appropriate materials, enthusiastic teachers, small group or one-on-one classes, and the right class length. With strong supporting materials, teachers help you move beyond your comfort zone to express ideas – not just translate words.
